Q: i have a dell and usually repositioning the screen or unplugging it fixes it but it is becoming more frequent what is wrong with it?
A: You might not have the display driver (graphics card) installed, you can check to see if you do: right click on "my computer" click on manage On the left hand side click on "device manager" If you have a device called "display adapters" installed it is not the Graphics card that is giving you the problem. But if you can't find display adapters in the list. Shut down your computer unplug the power cord, get a screw driver and remove the side of the case. Find your graphics card, it is the one that your monitor plugs into. remove the screws from the card and pull it out, flip it over and find out what make and model it is it will say on the back. Go to the manufactures website and go to support find the right driver for your card download it and install it. Restart your computer. If your computer doesn't have a graphics card it is ONBOARD meaning it is build into the Motherboard, find out what make and model your motherboard is and find the drivers for it. Install Enjoy hope this helps
