I have a vista ultimate premium--can I connect a 22

Q: My computer is a fairly new Vista Ultimate (pre-installed) with duo core processor and a healthy nVidea video card. But I have a 17" monitor connected to it now. I would like to get a larger monitor. Will their be driver problems? How large should I go? Is there a way I can find off compatibility before buying the monitor?

A: if it's a good enough nvidia card then you should have no problems. and the version of vista does not matter. what matters is the hardware, drivers, and nothing else. just set it to the right resolution (find the native resolution of the monitor and set the output to display in that resolution). but if you're worried about drivers, then the short answer would be no. you shouldn't go bigger than a 26 inch (no bigger than a 22 inch for gaming) unless you don't mind videos and stuff being very choppy. but if it's an nvidia 8800 series, then you can go all the way up to a 30 inch, just don't expect to be smooth (or anywhere near that) in gaming.
