Q: Hi people, My monitor was working fine, but then I decided to move it to another room. I turned it off and unplugged everything. But then after reconnecting everything...my monitor refused to work. On startup the screen is black but comes up with a "No signal" sign. And you can heard a "beeping" (in a pattern). I am DESPERATE to know what is wrong. Is my motherboard screwed? Do I need a new graphics card? HEEEELLLP PLEEASE!!!!! thank-you...
A: Dear Minky At a glance seems to be a video-card problem, but it's hard to tell, it could be the monitor as well. If you can test the monitor with another computer would be the 1st step. If you know some about computers open the box, make sure all the cables are connected. Turn the pc on, then plug the monitor, restart the pc. It may works. NOTE: Do not move anything inside the pc if you do not know about pcs; take it to a pc technician or to a friend that really knows about pc troubleshootings.
