Q: lately ive been getting the blank page that says cannot display internet page. this happens often. in the past it was very rare. i have made no changes but there is someone who uses this computer sometimes.all ideas welcome.
A: 1-do you restart the computer each time you encounter the "... cannot display internet page"? 2-if after restarting the computer and navigate to same page, do you see the page with no problem? 3-is there more than one computer in the house? could it be that your computer's IP address is in conflict with another computer in your house? to check, go to each computer and click start, run, type CMD then at dos prompt type IPCONFIG /ALL and compare your computer's IP address with other computers. if IP address of your computer is same as any of the computer. keep the other computer(s) powered on and go to your computer. at the dos prompt type IPCONFIG /RELEASE and press enter then type IPCONFIG /RENEW and press enter. wait 5 minutes and try internet connection again. good luck!
