Q: i have a win98 laptop and i reinstalled win98 and when i did the resolution is horribal, i looked in the screen settings and it only goes up to 16 colors and it can only display 640 by 480 pixels, how do i fix this! btw its a compaq 1272
A: You need to install the graphics card driver on yoru your laptop. If you have a recovery CD, insert it it into the PC, then select install graphics driver. If you don't have it, just right click on my computer, go to properties, then hardware, then device manager. There should be a place sa ying "other" See if there's a question mark beside the name of your graphics card. Go to the internet and download the driver for it for windows 98 and install it. Then it should work. Good luck
