Q: The monitor is all black and we've tried turning it on and off but there's still a black screen. We've also tried pressing some buttons but nothing, as soon as you turn it on the black screen appears and it stays like that. What should we do? btw it's plugged in, full battery and I'm on my laptop not my sister's
A: HAs she been using it plugged into a monitor? If so plug it back into the monitor and change the display settings in the BIOS. If not look at the screen carefully and see if there is a dim image. If there is an image than the screen or invertor is bad. If no image the laptop has died. Ineither case take it to a repair shop (I usually recomend the warranty repair depot for your laptop if there is one local as they are familiar with the unit and its failures).
