Q: The 15 prong cable from my monitor needs to be replaced. I bought a new one, and both ends look identical. The monitors wiring looks much bigger, and is also not coming out. It almost seems hard wired to the monitor. Is that possible, or do I just need to yank harder? There doesnt seem to be any screws to loosen old wire, while the replacement has them. Any help on replacing wire?
A: If you don't see the screws attaching the cable to the socket on the monitor it is hard wired, don't yank on it. An electronics shop can replace it for you.
