Q: Hi, my son phoned to say he dropped his computer keyboard on the floor and its had the effect of making his screen contents veritcal instead of horizontal...showing top to bottom when should be side to side. He's tried everything including rebooting to no effect. If anyone has any ideas how he can fix it, please let me know. Thanks, Alf
A: Your son probably knocked a key that changed a driver setting. People do it all the time at school xD. If you have an integrated INTEL Graphics then it is easy just look for the little blue icon at the bottom right hand corner of your screen, right click and there will be an option to rotate your screen around. ATI and Nvidia should have similar options. The ATI sign for drivers is usually ATI with a red outline. Again Right click and have a look for rotating your screen image. Nvidia will have a green logo like an eye at the the bottom right hand corner. The chances are you will have one of these three and if so the option should be fairly easy to find as long as you have a look round your driver options. Some people say that they can rotate there screen by pressing ALT CTRL and and ARROW key. I would try that as well if you cant find out how to change it through drivers. I would imagine that by chance your sound may have hit a combination like that one that rotated the screen. I hope this has helped. Good luck with fixing your computer :D
