Q: I'm just about to buy a new desktop computer. The monitor of my old computer (a Gateway EV700) is still working properly. Can I buy just about any desktop system without a monitor, plug my old minotor into it and expect everything's going to work properly?
A: Im most cases yes. Monitors are very universal. The only thing you want to make sure of is if your new desktop has a VGA (blue) monitor connection and not a DVI (white) monitor connection.
