Q: i want to buy a laptop which has a 15 inch screen and resolution of 1280x800. The specs on the laptop say that it can produce full hd (1080) How is that possible since that would need a 1920x1080 res screen?
A: I assume it means that the laptop can produce full HD via its video output, but not on the built-in screen. The built-in screen would be limited to 720p (1280 x 720) maximum. I assume you would have to hook the laptop up to a HDTV or monitor via a DVI or HDMI cable to get 1080i or 1080p.
