Q: i have a compaq presario c304nr and it has a 15 pin vga port on it. and i was wanting to connect my xbox 360 to it using the vga port. will this work or is it like the s video (only output) because i dont want to by the cables if it doesnt work. or if it looks crappy. in the past i hooked up projectors to this laptop using the vga port so i know it is a output source, but my question is: is it also a imput source
A: No, its output only. You'll need an external video capture card/box to do this. You can get USB ones. Quite a few tv-tuners for laptops (PCMCIA or USB) also have video-in so there's a range of options.
