Q: It has a Nvidia GeForce4 MX440 with AGP8x video card right now and I've been looking at upgrading so that I can have a dual monitor set up. I don't know much about video cards, so I'm really confused. I need to be able to hook up to to flat panel monitors, so I need two vga ports, right? Right now I only have one, but could I use a splitter or something? I have a splitter hooked up to an older computer that hooks up to two old monitors. Can I just buy another card and have it work at the same time as the other? Please help! I'm hoping to find a solution for under $180.
A: no you can't use a splitter. you could use 2 cards if your motherboard supports it but doubt it does. good new you can get a video card with 2 video ports easily for under 180. more then likely most will have DVI ports but they have adapters for those. I suggest going to www.newegg.com and looking through their AGP cards they have plenty of pictures of them and the specs
