Q: even now as I'm doing this the tv still shows only my desktop backround. please help cause we're getting seriously stressed been at this for hours
A: The resolution of the laptop is probably higher than the TV try reducing the laptop to 1024 x768 which is prety much standard as a reasonable starting point then up it if it is capable. Keep increasing till you find the correct one.
