1920x1200 resolution ona 27

Q: Does anyone have a 27" PC Monitor that they run with 1920x1200 resolution? I'm considering buying a Samsung unit, but I'm afraid that the resolution will be too low. My 24" monitor at work runs at 1920x1200, so doesn't it follow logically that the same resolution on a 27" would be stretched and blurrier?

A: 1900x1200 is the standard resolution for both 24" and 27" widescreen monitors, just like 1280x1024 is the standard for both 17" and 19" 4:3 monitors. The pixel counts are the same on both, but the pixels on the 27" monitor are slightly larger, and since the aspect ratios are the same on both the 24" and 27", the picture will look the same on both, just bigger on the 27". To go up to the next higher resolution, you need to get a 30". No, it doesn't really make sense, but there you are. The picture will be fine.
