Q: My monitor was working fine and it just shut off. Nothing I did revived it.I unplugged it.Then today I plugged it back in and it came on for a minute then it shutoff again.When it shuts off there is no light at the switch.Its a Sun/Sony GDM-16/1962B if its any help
A: From what I found of your monitor its a CRT monitor. I have experienced this before with my old monitor and one of the cause might be that the monitor is old (and faulty) and needs to be replaced. Go for a new LCD monitor.
