Can an LCD monitor be damaged by heat?

Q: I left my new LCD monitor (still in the box) in the trunk of my car today, and it's expected to be pretty hot outside. In the car it will probably be over 100 F. Is there any chance this could damage the monitor?

A: If it's in the trunk it should be fine. It should probably have the temperatures that in can be stored in on the box. Update: I just looked on dell's website and the non-operating temp. of their dislpays is 32-140 F. So you should be fine;)
