Q: OK I got my video card in and working but my monitor is not displaying it right. When I take out the big blue cable on the motherboard and put it in the video card then my computer screen says "Cannot display this video mode". My monitor is not a old one it's a flatpannel Dell monitor and could it be that it is a VGA card and the monitor is something else.
A: You have onboard graphics. Reboot your computer and go into bios and change your display priority to VGA. Then reboot again with your monitor hooked up to your card. You might check in the Hardware Manager of your computer and see if it still has 2 options showing for your optical drives. You can disable your onboard.
