Q: i know...thats a weird question, but i dont get it. yesmy mouse is optical. and it moves by ITSELF. :-(
A: If your mouse had a ball on the bottom; the ball wears down over time and when you clean out the stuff inside on the rollers; that is "ball". The ball shrinks in size and over time stops touching all the rollers at the same time causing erratic signals to be sent creating erratic jerky movement of the cursor. Get a new optical mouse and you will be glad you did. If you have an optical mouse you should reinstall the drivers and if that does not fix it, then replace the mouse.
