Do these MagicTouch Touch Screen Add-ons actually work?

Q: I was looking into changing my monitor into a touch screen enabled one but I really don't have the money to buy the special monitor and stuff.. I don't have like $2000.00 just for that. But I found this: http://www.touchscreens.com/mt1921pc-usb-b.html Do these add-on kits actually work? I'll buy one if they work but I'm not sure I should trust this because it sounds too good to be true.. plus how the hell does it work? thanks.

A: I don't know anything about that particular model, but I do know that the technology works. I know someone who uses an add-on touch screen for her autistic students. There are many different add-on models to choose from, plus there are many touch screen monitors that are way cheaper than $2000. Google it and look around before you spend that much money. I think that the only thing new is that the $2000 screen is being marketed as something for general (rather than specialized) usage.
