Q: I finally have my pc onto my TV to watch my netflix... but while the show is playing, my pc just sits there still. My dh is worried that it will burn his screen. Is this a real concern.... or is there a way around this? Thanks. I'd like to clarify that although I'm watching it from my pc, the actuall internet actually was MOVED over to the TV!!!!! So, while I moved the internet over to the 2nd screen, the 1st screen is what is on the PC and is STILL. Please note..... I'm not worried about the TV burning... it's always moving anyway. IT's the PC he was worried about. Because the internet contents that I was watching was moved from his PC display over to the TV display, thereby leaving nothing moving on his PC while it just sat there STILL. That's what I'm talking about. Not my TV ------- THE PC.
A: Plasma technology is a problem when still images are on it. LCD technology does not have an image burn in problem. CRT technology does not have the burn in problem. EDIT: Screen savers came into existence to prevent 'burn in' on the old monochrome computer screens and never really died out because people like them. When plasma technology came out the need for screen savers was reborn.
