problem playing a game on big screen flat panel?

Q: I hooked up my computer to my 37" lcd flat panel. It has a pc input. It works fine except when I put in nfs carbon it says signal is not compatible with this input. Can I not play cd games or is there something I have to do? Okay, Thanks Ronald. Problem solved. I had to hook up the reg. monitor and go into the game and change the res. it was set to low. Thanks again.

A: You need to change the revolution that your game is set out. The resolution of your TV is probably 720 or 1080, set your game to a resolution under what your tv is (the seond number ####x720) and if posible set it to wide screen. Another solution would be to go into Display Properties in the Control Panel and set your Monitor to a Television your computer will know the maximum resolution to display at. Are you using dual displays? If not the resolution should be the only thing you need to change, IN THE GAME. (Direct X/Open GL games usually have their own resolution different then your windows desktop resolution unless you manually change them outside their default resolution). Their should be an option in the Option or Settings tab of the game, or a seperate program in the Start Menu folder for Setup Settings or Options. Also you can pick up a cable from walmart for 3 bucks that converts your mini stereo port into stereo RCA cables to play your sound though your sound system or tv speakers.(use to play gta sa mods on my tv to freak out my friends)
