Q: i just want to know
A: The notebook wont mind if its a CRT or TFT the item is a monitor so as long as you set the monitor refresh rates and resolution to suit it will be fine. Some notebooks support running a different screen on the external and internal monitor, you can also have different refresh rates and resolutions which is handy as most notebooks run at 60hz on the TFT screen which can be a touch flickery on CRT monitors.
