Q: im looking into buying a viewsonic 28 " lcd moniter the serial is: VX2835wm http://www.viewsonic.com.au/products/productspecs.php?id=292 It says in the descript on thw website: that you can watch full hd tv. my settop box (hd tv tuner) has component cables( supported by this moniter but i cant seeem to find the antenna plug hole for this moniter. from my memory, you plug the antana cable from the wall into the hd tuner, then from the tuner to the tv or this case a moniter but theres no atenna hole? how am i supposed to watch tv on this moniter? it sasy you can!
A: well i believe that supercool believes that this unit is a pc only type device, this is not the case at all. this unit has an HDMI connector on it, you will need to go antenna in to your hd set top box, then HDMI out to the moniter, you will use the set top box as a tuner (will change channels on the box, not the monitor). The HDMI connection is what will give you the hd content to the monitor from your set top box.
