Q: even though my monitor is defective? it has a rainbow line and i know i have to get another one but don't have money. I am on XP Pro SP2. Or is there a way to ignore it? It is on the left side, pencil-thin. Can I still play music and watch videos? or any way from the control panel to hide this flaw? or any ideas you guys have for me, like can i read e-books?
A: If it;s burned into the monitor there is nothing you can do but replace it. This won't affect anything other than what you can see on the screen. Judge for yourself what you can do and still enjoy. Programs don't "know" if a monitor is even attached to your computer let alone if there are problems with it.
