Q: Alright so our computer is in the corner of our living room and behind it is the stove. Our computer is on standby and every time my mom turns on the stove, our computer turns on! i have no idea why this happens and every time i try to show my friends it doesn't work which is extra wierd. so why does this happen?
A: Very possibly the computer is detecting a power change causing it to wake up. Possibly a electromagnetic flux field that gives the computer a false signal to wake up. Check the BIOS settings for "Wake On:" different things. Try moving the computer away from the stove for awhile or try a different electrical outlet on a different circuit, or at least across the room, to see if it has any change of effect. Kind of strange.
