Q: I got this video card recently and i know it's kinda old, but im having some trouble installing it. I put it in the Slot, and turn on my computer it doesn't show any of the start up but then it Does show the log on screen. I will log on and try to install the drive but around one minute after I log on or right when Im getting the Driver's installation to come up my monitor goes blank and my system acts like it's in a sleep mode. I can Press the Power button and it will instantly shut off without waiting the 3 seconds of regular. My monitor is plugged into the regular slot not the one on the Card. Help appreciated thanks! By the way it shows that new hardware has been found when I log on before it shuts off or goes into the power saving kind of mode.
A: plug the montor into the card..before the boot up..enter the bios and disable the onboard or integrated graphics...that should resolve the issue for you..cheers
