No Signal Monitor?

Q: Okay I went to install more memory on my computer tonight, vacuumed the dust out of the inside very gently and then went to plug everything back in. the computer will not send a signal to the monitor. I tried this with three monitors and NOTHING.. What did I do to my computer? I didn't diconnect anything inside just snapped the new memory into the slot and like I said vacummed it but just lightly just enough to suck the dust bunnies out. Any ideas would help and yes everything was securly connected and in the right places memory card is correct and installed correctly, still nothing, took it out still nothing except still PO'd

A: first, try removing the new ram first. it is possible that your board might not support the new speed / capacity of the ram. hopefully, you have bought the right ram or your motherboard may fry. if that didn't work and because you have tried three different monitors already, then the problem lies with your video card. is it an add-on card? if it is an add-on card, try using your integrated if you have one. if it is already an integrated chip (connected directly to your motherboard) then just buy a new video card. it is possible that you may have broken something on the card itself that's why, it isn't properly functioning.
