why wont my dell 24

Q: specs are from my dell packing slip. Anyway ok my dell computer blew up. So being me i wanna still play BF2 so ive got this 5 yr old Packard bell its got a FX 5200 256mb and will connect to an old tv it has a white connector slot and the dell monitor plug fits into it fine but it wont register the computer and it just goes into hibination mode. What can i do to get this Monitor and computer working hand in hand?

A: Your Dell monitor has two input slots on the back. One is white and is for a DVI connection (digital) and one is blue which is a VGA connection (analog). Judging by the age of the PackBell computer, it is probably not capable of handling the DVI connection even if you are able to fit the connection. To get your monitor working with you PackBell PC you will probably need to get the VGA cable with the Blue connector (fairly cheap). And make sure you have the correct drivers for the monitor installed on the old PC. You can get those from the Dell website if you don't have a disc that came with the monitor.
