Q: i have a Samsung 22ich TV/PC monitor HD. resolution 1680x1050 and a New ATI HD2600 XT PCIE card installed. When playing any SIMS 2 game i get black bars on top, bottom, left and right side of the screen. When i first installed it i was able to scale the image of my desk top to fill it up the sreen. But when playing Sims 2 it reverts to showing the black bars on all 4 sides of the screen. It didnt do it before, im not sure if i hit a diffrent setting since i installed the new catalyst driver update yesterday it default to system settings and the box came with no booklet. the settings are set to 1680x1050 on my graphics card. almost forgot i was able to play any Sims 2 game in full screen before the new driver update 8.5. if anyone knows how to tweek ATI catalyst 8.5 let me know.
