Q: Okay here is the story! Twice while on the internet first time on utube second on myspace my screen turned blue and white writing said it was shutting down to protect the files. Then screen turned all fuzzy. It told me to go into boot mode and select "safe mode." So I did this and it starts making noise then goes to the "Windows XP" screen. It holds there for a while then flips to some blue screen so quickly I can't even see it. Then goes back to the boot mode. Then this process starts all over again! Can you help me? Tell me there is a way to save all my stuff.
A: Have you installed WindowsXP Service PAck 3 recently. this causes a crash loop like you are describing caused by OEM images used cross architecture on AMD Processors. The easiest way to rectify this is reinstall windows and don't upgrade to SP3 yet. If you haven't its a device driver as previosly mentioned, but the fact its also happening in safe mode means its a core system driver. Again the easiest way is to format and reinstall to see if a clean install still causes it, as it could be inaccesible boot drive are even a fulty graphics GPU. You can on the boot menu i think its F6 as windows is starting switch off automatic reboots so you can see the error, without seeing the error its merely guess work.
