Q: ok..i dont know much about computers and im going to explain this as vivid as i can. my computer is new and i got it last january. well...this has been happening for a month. i plug my ipod in to charge...then ill unplug it once its done charging...and sometimes all of a sudden the screen turns blue saying "crash dump" then it shuts off my comp and recovers it. also...if i leave my computer alone and the monitor goes to sleep...when i go to use it again the internet stops woring and i have to restart it again. why does it keep crashing and why doesnt the net work at times? what can i do to fix this? thanks eveyone.
A: If u use internet on ur computer and u also use USB devices(like for charging ur ipod) ur system MUST BE equipped with an ANTIVIRUS software. Now u need not go into details, but u should have an antivirus and antispyware softwares. U can get a good antivirus and an antispyware at www.filehippo.com If u cant choose one, mail me and i will tell u which softwares to download, which are a must have on ur system. They will keep ur system healthy, and u just need to update them regularly.. As far as ur system crashes and recovery are concerned, it can be due to A LOT OF REASONS... there may be problem with some of ur softwares, or ur OS(Operating System), or may even hardware.... see if ur system crashes only when u plug in ur i-pod, or even while u are working on it.... crashes generally occur when there are 'FORIEGN' programs running on ur system, or some of the files of ur OS(Windows) has been corrupted.. In that case,u might need to Re-install ur windows(reinstalling doesn't drain out data from ur other partitions,if u can understand what i m saying, only all the installed programs need to be re-installed..). never mind, crashes aren't a big deal, and can be fixed easily...
