Q: My monitor is flickering when I am scrolling here in Yahoo! Answers. It does not flicker anywhere else. the background here flickers when I am scrolling. what might be the problem? My monitor is new and I am sure the prob is with Yahoo! answers, my refresh rate is 75(highest) and this is the first time I ever encounter this in my life. The background of Yahoo! Answers is the only thing that flickers! other sites are fine. It does not happen in notepad or in any other sites!
A: flickering would not be the site, its typically seen on pages with alot of white background (like answers). Open notepad and make it full size you will notice it too. Setting the hertz as you did to the highest typically overcomes that for most people. Might check your vid drivers see if they are the most current. insure the vid card is recognizign yoru monitor and doesnt see it as "generic PNP" monitor. After you set your vid drivers up correctly, set your monitor to default settings as well to make sure the vid sees what it is expecting. Lastly if you changed outlets when you got your newest monitor installed, might use a different outlet.
