Q: I recently reinstalled windows xp and now I can't change the resolution to anything above 640 *480. I also can't change it from the default monitor settings. I don't know if i need to get a driver for my video card or something but i don't even know what kind i have and i can't find it on my computer. please help...
A: It sounds as if you do have to install an XP compatible driver for your video card. One of the best ways to find out what kind of card you have is by the make and model number of your system. Check the manufacturer's website for updates to your particular system.
