Q: Can my monitor be used as a tv? I have a dvd player that requires scart. Obviously I need some adaptor to allow the 'circular' tv cable to go into the back of my computer...but I don't think there's any open ports there? Only a cable that goes to the mains and a cable that's not removable that goes to the back of my computer? So is there an adaptor that I can use to turn that into a tv plug? AIH....you've obviously got something to say, why don't you say it. Sorry for not being as computer literate as you, but I want to know if it's possible with a simple cable, or if it's a lot more complex and not worth it. Get off your high horse, mate! Sandy, thanks for your help :) the thing is, I have sky in my room (an addon to the box which is downstairs) and the little receiver for it plugs into the cable with the circular plugs (not sure of the proper name), so I need that cable :( If I was to use my monitor as a tv, I wouldn't want my computer or laptop attached at the time :( Just to clarify - the monitor won't have a computer or laptop connected to it :p
