Q: My screen refresh rate is on 75 Hertz? Is that why? How can I fix it? 75 Hertz is the maximum.
A: I very much suspect you have an overheating problem. They probably are related, and those 'beeps' would concern me far more than the 'screen flicker'!! According to the manual for your motherboard, if you experience "High frequency beeps when system is working" the explanation(s) for it could be: CPU overheated; System running at a lower frequency You should do a visual check of the BIOS POST screens while your system is starting up to see if BIOS is actually reporting the CPU to be running at 2.4 GHz. Right-clicking 'My Computer' and choosing 'Properties' is the simplest way of checking from within Windows itself.
