What causes your start menu/menus (the sides) to shake/jitter?

Q: Can anyone help? when i click my start bar, the sides of my start menu (right and bottom) jitter, it almost looks like thin and long rectangles flashing on an off. It happens when I right click with my mouse, the menu shakes. As well as alerts when I mouse over certain objects. What is causing this problem?

A: Maybe your monitor is going bad? Try a different monitor and rule that out first. Then rule out your mouse. Plug in a different one as well. Try each 'new' one seperately. You can borrow from another computer -- don;t go buying a new one just yet. Maybe your memory is getting full? Sometimes your memory can fill up and make things unstable on your screen, as well as movements of your mouse, etc. Good luck.
