A: To turn off press the power button and HOLD DOWN for 3 (or more) seconds. Next try again. If it does it again. Reboot. This time press F8 as it boots up until it offers to start in Safe Mode. Start in Safe Mode. When in safe mode do a system restore to the moment before whatever went wrong, went wrong! To system restore; Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. Find a date and try a restore.
