Q: Recently, i have been looking to get a laptop. its for a couple of things: 1- i want something that i can use fro school. you take a lot of notes in college, and i could sure as hell manage all that stuff better with a laptop. but i also want it to play able to play games too, specifically age of Conan. game just looks really fun and i really want to play it, but my desktop is not goo0d enough to play it. i want something to use for school ,that can also run games is what im saying. i have been looking around, i see lots of stuff that i can afford, but nothing that really relates to gaming at all. i see stuff that has like a webcam, and audio editing software and whatnot, i just want something that i can use for school and play games on, i don't want to pay for stuff im not going to use. anyone have any suggestions for a good gaming laptop, somewhere in the range of 1000$ that can play Age of Conan, and not just play it, but play it well? ( so i don't have to turn all the graphics settings to a minimum)
A: I don't have a quick answer for you but it is clear you need to investigate Laptops with discrete video cards rather than an "integrated"/shared memory type video system. I am not sure you if you can find a pretty good gaming machine for that price. Maybe this will help.
