Will the technicians at best buy look at it ?

Q: Like I said before on a previous question my computer i believe crashed because of a virus ! I tried to format it, so it would go back to normal, but I guess I made it worst. Now when I turn on my computer, it only shows the initial black screen showing the computer information, and then it goes to another black screen with a blinking arrow, it doesnt do anything else. do you guys think that if i go to best buy, they'll fix it there? i also have very important and confidential files on my computer that no one might look at it other than me, if they try to recover my files, will they take a pic at my files? its like theres people on this world that are capable of doing everything. one of my main concerns is that while they try to recover my files, that they will take a sneak peek at them. this might be a tremendously silly question, but im sure im not the only one that thinks this way! I NEED YOUR TOUGHTS ev1 ! Thank you all so much !

A: Well...here's the good news: They won't see your files. Bad news: That's because they are gone. Gone for good, no way of recovery, no hope, not even a little. They are gone. This is why I tell people not to format their computers unless they have no other choice. Of course, here on Yahoo Answers, it seems like a lot of pseudo-computer techs like to say "Format! Format! Format!" every time your system hiccups. In any event, you need to reinstall everything, starting with your operating system. If you have never done a windows install, I'd suggest taking it into best buy, since you were going to do that anyway. It isn't terribly difficult, but if you've gotten yourself in this deep, you should probably find a guide to get you out.
