Upgrade Dell XPS 1330?

Q: I have a Dell XPS 1330 that I bought a few weeks ago. I've heard that the HDD, and memory can be upgraded. Is the dedicated graphics card in it can be upgraded as well? Here are the specs T8100 Intel Duo Core 3gb memory nVidia Geforce 8400M GS 128mb 250gb SATA HDD

A: You can't upgade the graphics chip in laptops as a general rule. In the case of some Dell models there is an exception to this because some models use plug-in modules. But that only works if your model A) has a plug-in module design and B) Dell ever offerred a better graphics chip For the XPS M1330, 8400M was the top chip available so that's the detailed way of saying no to that. One of your RAM slots will have a 1 gig module that you can donate to charity and replace with a 2 gig module You can get a nice 7200 rpm hard drive which will be the most useful and noticeable upgrade you can make. I suggest the Western Digital 320 gig 7200 rpm "Caviar Black" model.
