Q: I don't want to spend a whole lot... so I am looking at 2 computers at Office Depot in the $600 range. HP DV6910US vs. HP DV2911US 15.4 screen vs. 14.1 screen bluetooth ability vs. No bluetooth 1MB (512+512) L2 cashe vs. 2MB L2 cashe 200G Harddrive vs. 250G Harddrive 3 GB of SDRAM vs. 3 GB of SDRAM 6.06 lb vs. 5.48 lb I mainly just use the internet and play games online. No heavy graphic needs. Should I buy the computer protection program (it is about $170 for 4 years)??? Do you have additional recommendations of other brands/stores to shop at to get something similar or better for same apprx price? Many thanks!
A: I personally wouldn't go for anything less than 15.4 screen and hard drive shouldn't be a real concern as you can purchase a 500GB External Drive for less then $100 now a days. As for the protection make sure to check and see if it's an over the counter exchange if it's not then the program is useless as you could probably fix it yourself or find someone. I like Best Buy for their protection as they will give you a new laptop if yours crashing beyond fixing and if you watch their website sometimes they have crazy deals!!
