A: AMD is quite a good processor, but for a better/higher performing processor, choose Intel Core 2 Duo. For the GPU, choose the ATI Radeon 4850. Its performance is good, and it is 2 generations ahead the 8800. Also, have you heard of the defective nVIDIA GPUs? 8800 is one of the many models that is affected.
