Q: My problem is simple. The BIOS is locked with and password, and also the HDD is locked with a password. And since I can't install anything (can't access windows), because I have no access to the DVD drive, and I also have no floppy drive. I'm telling you this so that you know I can't use live CD's and booting from floppy's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. :D
A: it is a tricky subject to clear the bios on a laptop. try here http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/36/68/ also this has been known to work CmosPwd tool http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/CmosPwd What i did is i unzipped windows file to c: drive ,then i run cmd from cmd line type ioperm.exe -i and then Cmospwd_win.exe /k It will kill cmos and in next reboot type f2 to enter bios , it will take longer time(1-2 minutes) cose it rebuilds cmos and bios is resetted.
