When would a good time be to get a laptop?

Q: I want to get a laptop maybe by christmas ( I'm saving my money ). I have been looking for one and have been all over the place I have heard bad things about the Vista and some about the Mac too. I really would love to know from you laptop users what you have and how you like it. I kinda liked this laptop but it has vista right? http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail... A: 1.) Those links you gave are not working. 2.) Windows 7 is scheduled to come out in 2010. 3.) Vista is buggy and you need an excellent computer just to run it decently. Mac OS X is much more stable and the only real issue is that you can't really play to many games on it. People who tell you that Macs are crap, most likely don't own one and are very narrow minded. OSX kicks vistas ass in performance and ease of use. 4.) You could always install Windows XP on this laptop you plan on getting. 5.) Plan on spending around $1,000 for a decent laptop. 6.) I would suggest getting an ASUS, ACER, or HP notebook. Maybe TOSHIBA. 7.) What ever you do do not buy a Dell, I work in a computer repair shop and well over 50% of the computers that come in are Dells. Whats more is that most of the problems with them are not even the users fault, it is usually a hardware related issue.
