Q: My friend has the Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop, it only has a 60 GB harddrive. Well, we are looking for a new one for him. What size is the harddrive in this computer? 2.5" or 3.5"? A: I think you need a 2.5" drive. The one you showed from newegg is 3.5" which is suited for desktop PCs. From what I looked up, the Inspiron 1525 does come with a 120GB drive which is twice the size you stated. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136072 The link i gave you, is a hard drive that has 120GB, 2.5", has great reviews and it's only $64.99 with free 3 day shipping.
