Q: Hi. I've been looking at the Acer Aspire One with 8gb SSD/512MB Ram/Linux, and it looks very nice, but I just would like more storage space, and more ram. Is it possible to upgrade the SSD and Ram? If so, what do you have to do? And where do you buy the SSD? Also, how is the battery life on the Acer? Would upgrading the 2 features listed above up the battery life? Thank you:D
A: Upgrading your HDD and/or RAM will definitely not improve your battery life. If anything, the battery will last shorter. For RAM, go to http://www.crucial.com and run the scan. It will tell you everything you need to know about RAM in you pc. You can buy their guaranteed compatible RAM if you can't find it cheaper elsewhere
