My laptop screen is not turning on, what do I do?

Q: Hello, I have a Toshiba satellite 50, I left my computer on for some time without the battery, and now the screen is not turning on. The lights, however, showing the power and battery status are working fine. It is just the screen that is not doing anything. Also, the power button is on, and I'm not able to turn it off, so it's constantly on, even if I disconnect the battery. Anyone knows what seems to be the problem? thank you. I tried pressing Fn + F5 and still didn't work. All the lights are on, except for the hard disk one. I tried to turn it off the computer a dozen of times but it won't turn off. Any advices?? I'm desperate, thank you.

A: plug the power cord back wait five mins then press the FN button with the F5 key (same time )you might have to do this a few times the screen should come back on if not, remove the batt, power cord and wait a day for all power to discharge and retry
