Q: My laptop uses windows vista, and i used to be able to play sims 2, but for some reason, after about 2 months i could no longer do that. I have 3 expansion packs ; sims pets, nightlife and university. I have downloaded all the patches necessary off of the sims website, but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.. The game crashes after about 5 minutes, 10 maximum. One of the main reasons i bought a laptop was so that i could finally play sims, but that seems to be one of the only things i can't do :( Any solutions? Thankyou. xxxx
A: You really shouldn't have bought a laptop to play Sims2, because most laptops do not have the graphics cards to support the game.You should buy one of the Sims Stories games which are laptop compatible. If you have onboard graphics on your laptop then you should stop playing immediately because the crashes are a sign your card or chip is overheating, which might cause irreversible damage to your motherboard.
