If your willing to wait, i think they're coming out with a 3.06GHz dual core processor for the laptop soon. And a 2.53GHz quad core processor. Second, you will NOT be able to buy a computer with the 2.8GHz processor for $1,200. In fact, you'd spend all your money to buy just the 2.8GHz processor by itself without a computer for that price. If your price limit is $1,200, the best laptop you can hope for, after using online coupon codes would be about this: 2.5GHz core 2 duo (6MB cache, 800FSB), 4GB RAM (bought separately online) and a GeForce 8600M GT, with the rest of the stock options.
