Q: My Computer's memory is displaying 2 and 1/2 times the amount I am actually using. I have personally checked the files, deleted unnecessary programs, and every few minutes it adds on another .1 GB used. I am running a dell inspiron 1526 with windows vista
A: I've either misread the question or you've got the world's first self-powered memory manufacturer! Seriously, I have never heard of this phenomenon (or virus?), but Windows creates temporary files all the time, accumulating data for restore points etc. and your browser has a cache. You should clear TEMP directories and empty caches periodically. Also run a disk defragment program to consolidate free disk space.
